Luiji: ooc; Nightswallow is looking for some plotage. This is just a RP, anyone can join, but if you have some ideas for a plot or something PM me. ic;Today a cool breeze made it's way through the mountains, a breeze that held within it the months of winter. It was coming, and it sent a chill through the black wolf's body as he made his way slowly and carelessly around the rocks and across the streams that were scattered through the lands. Today seemed normal, the beginning of yet another winter and yet another day to endure it, but it was not. Today something was out of place, and that something just happened to be the wolf that walked alone here, the wolf who had left. Onyx had been getting a little hectic, at least that's how he had seen it. His siblings were no where to be found and his mother, who he had carelessly put aside for so long and then, not long ago, felt the desire to have next to him once again, had disappeared without a trace. Without his family, and with the pack seemingly dwindling down, he saw nothing left for him there and so he had left. Nightswallow, a once completely loyal and strong member of Onyx, had left his home to find something more. Tahki, his alpha, spoke of bringing it back. Onyx would soon be the same land it was, but Nightswallow felt that he had little time, not enough to lay around and wait. He didn't want to be there anymore. So, for what might be the first time in his life, he had left and thought very little about it. He had no destination, no way to go, he was merely searching. It was a nice day, though. The cool air was a nice change to him especially since he wasn't much of a traveler; the breeze made this easier. He was almost entirely black spare the two stripes on his tail and the splotch on his chest, and therefore the sun could heat his fur up to a very uncomfortable temperature in no time flat and, now that he was outside of Onyx, shade seemed to be scarcer and the land seemed to be uglier all around, but maybe it was just him. Despite this, it was a good day to travel and, though it didn't show, he was silently glad for the weather. As he walked there was no trace of any happiness or any emotion close to it. His bright, baby blue eyes held no signs of any hope in this place as they scanned the ground before him. His tail was drooping carelessly behind him, and just the way he moved was lopsided and careless. Leaving his home, the place of his birth, had been a very difficult thing for him to do and it left him alone. He had no more family. It just seemed wrong, the more he thought about it, to let himself do this. To be like this, all down in the dumps, over his travels. It needed to be done, after all, and he could always return, couldn't he? He was still a young wolf, just going into his third winter, and he needed something more. Something to do with his life. His levelheaded attitude had come along with him, though, and he tried to shake the thought. He was on a mission and everything would be okay so long as he worked hard and kept looking ahead, wouldn't it? He would find what he was looking for and, maybe if he was lucky, he would find his mother, too. It was a momentary thought, though, since he preferred not to think about his mother's fate and instead imagine that she was safe back in Onyx. Whatever had happened to her, and his siblings, he hoped for the best. For now, though, he was searching for something else. He was searching for his future. Kiba: Kiba had been running for quite some time and she was happy. Winter was coming and she couldn't wait for it to snow it seemed as if the animals were gathering up for hibernation, scurrying here and there getting as much food as possible. The crisp air burned her nose but she paid no mind she had a carefree feeling about her today and her golden eyes glittered with excitement as she ran chasing some squirrels and chipmunks. The Red Mountains was like a land full of adventure and excitement and even though it wasn't true she felt like in some way they were a pack. Sure none of them interacted with each other much but if time would permit it they would provide company for a lonely wolf who was looking for some friends or just wanting someone to talk to. A bright smile had appeared upon her maw as she looked around looking for something else to preoccupy her time but sadly all the animals had gone into there warm homes. Disappointed she turned and head toward a small stream to get a drink. The cool water felt good as it quenched her thirst, cooling her heated body, from running around all day, of course she was hot actually she was burning up. Kiba knew that she needed to rest but she felt as if she had just been hit by lightning and the charge was over energizing her. Suddenly she caught a sent blowing in on the cool breeze and this was one she recognized but she couldn't exactally place her finger on who it was though. Curious she sprinted lightly toward the sent and as it got stronger she got a good idea of who it was but when she finally got there she almost had a heartattack. NIGHTSWALLOW she remembered the large black male from onyx who helped her, sorta, find her new home. She was about to run up to him but something stopped her. The look in those beautiful blue eyes were devastating to her. She was use to them being bright and cheerful but now they seemed empty and his facial features were as if he would never be happy again. Slowly she descended toward him keeping her head low and her posture friendly. Tail wagging she walked ever so slowly toward him hoping that some how her presence would make him happy in some way but she severely doubted it. Her bangs feel in front of her right eye as the wind blew its cool, crisp breath across the mountain; the distance was shortening as she walked up to him, her heart beating wildly. Actually she found it difficult to breathe right but she finally calmed her self down. She smiled brightly up at him as she finally got up to him "Well its been a long time hasn't it," she said as she looked up into his blue eyes. He seemed to be just as fit as he ever was "So have you tripped over any rock lately," she asked, her golden eyes as bright as ever. Nightswallow: Any wolf that was being alert any at all would have been able to notice the wolf who approached him before she got as close as she did. Her smell was in the wind and, if one had simply been listening, her steps could have been heard. Nightswallow, however, was not being in any way alert and therefore didn't have the slightest clue of her existence. That was, until she spoke. "Well its been a long time hasn't it," It startled him, the voice, however friendly it was, and he stopped his slow walk for a second in order to look and see who it was. His blue eyes drifted away from the red ground and into the eyes of the other wolf, and his nose opened to her smell. He recognised it, he recognised her, but he couldn't put her face to a name. He thought back to that day in Onyx when she had showed up, looking rather afraid and lost, and he had had to turn her away. She looked good now, he took note of that. He tried to bring a smile to his maw, but, when he did, it wasn't much of one. He nodded his head at her, as a polite greeting, but did not speak. Instead she continued. "So have you tripped over any rock lately," He hadn't expected this and it took a minute for him to figure out what she was talking about but he got it and it brought forth a real smile and a chuckle. "Oh, yeah," he said, to show that he remembered before answering, "A few." His answer was honest though he knew the question wasn't serious. He figured that maybe if he would have lifted his feet a little higher off of the ground he wouldn't have tripped so much up on his way here, but he hadn't been in the mood to lift his feet high. "You're looking good," he said, his smile remaining on his maw for the time being, "did you ever find a pack?" he asked though the answer could have been guessed. Not many wolves traveled in the Red Mountains if they had a home, but, then again, maybe she had gotten some sort of rank like a messanger or something. Making a little motion of his head, he started walking slowly again. It was his way of inviting her to come and walk with him since he didn't really feel like stopping. Honestly, he wanted to get out of here as soon as possible; he wanted to get away from Onyx. He made a slight effort to wag his tail and maybe seem happier. To tell the truth, her appearance had made him a little happier. It was nice to have some company, at least for a while. His mind that had been before idly rolling over his worries now searched for this wolf's name. Finally, he thought of something. It starts with a Ki. Kimmi? No. Ki. His thought process consisted mostly of him souding out different names in his head until he found one that fit. Kiba. That's right. Kiba: "Oh, yeah,A few,You're looking good, did you ever find a pack?" Kiba folded her ears back in disappointment "No, the borders were closed when I went to ask for acceptance," she managed to say, her eyes avoiding Nightswallow's. "You seem to be doing fine physically but I'm more worried about you emotionally are you ok," she asked with worry in her voice as she spoke the words and saw his face. She looked at him for a while and laughed "I figured that you might have, you might be strong but grace isn't in your best catigory," she said trying to stop "I'm sorry I'm just happy to see you, you haven't changed much." Her tail wagged back and forth as she raised up and meet him face to face "Why are you not in onyx, I thought that was your pack," She asked as she just realized that he had been a member of the land and he seemed so loyal to them. She wondered why he left his homeland just to come all the way here, this place wasn't the best place to be, alot of visious wolves lived here and she didn't want him to get hurt but something told her that no matter what she said she wouldn't be able to change his mind. Her maroon bangs held over her right eye as she quickly scanned the area, afraid that some rouges were listening in on thier conversation. The sun beat heavily down on both of the friends as they were still engaged in thier conversation, she was smiling and laughing at some points of it as he spoke but she still had an uneasy feeling that what ever his reason for being here was, wasn't good. Her golden eyes lingered on the black, kindhearted male as the sun reflected off his black and white coat and she realized that his tail look like it belonged to a racoon. Right now she was having a very difficult time holding in a huge laugh but small giggles got out and she had to lay down and place her black paws over her maw to stop from bursting out. She had just met him and she didn't want to make him mad and send him off somewhere else but all the same his cool blue eyes seemed to have some spark of happiness in them but not as much as they held when they first met. Quite frankly she didn't want to meet up on the same situation they did last time, nearly broke into a fight if she had to say so herself. Nightswallow: "No, the borders were closed when I went to ask for acceptance,"He nodded, a little disappointed. He had hoped that things would have worked out better for her, and felt a little guilty at the sound of her voice. It brought his pack back into his mind. His former pack. "You seem to be doing fine physically but I'm more worried about you emotionally are you ok, I figured that you might have, you might be strong but grace isn't in your best catigory, I'm sorry I'm just happy to see you, you haven't changed much. Why are you not in onyx, I thought that was your pack?"She spoke and he listened. First she brought up his emotional state that he honestly had no idea how he could possibly explain it to her. He didn't have to, though, because she moved on. He chuckled a little at her remark about his gracefulness. He supposed that she was right. Her apology wasn't necessary, but he was glad to hear that she was 'happy to see him'. Their first meeting had seemed too brief for it to really mean something, but maybe it did. She was back now and it was a lot like a little reunion, and he liked it. But then she brought up the one thing he hadn't wanted to walk about - Onyx. He gave a sigh, and, rather than explaining, he just gave a blunt answer. She could ask more if she wanted, he would tell her, but, for the moment, he was going to be simple and to-the-point. "I left," was his answer. His heart felt heavy with pain as he spoke the two words he never thought he would say about his home. He had loved it so much, but things change. His smile faded away and his eyes once again held a certain sadness, one that would probably not go away for a long while. Not until he found what he sought. Then, out of the blue, Kiba just stopped, layed down, and laughed. Well, she was really trying to hold it back but Nightswallow saw right through it. He stopped, and, raising a brow, asked. "What's wrong?" Curiosity and a little bit of worry sprung up in him. Not once did it occur to him that it might be his stripped tail that he had inherited from his grandfather. Or maybe it was his grandmother or great grandmother that he had got it from. His mother had told him before, but he honestly couldn't remember and didn't think of it now. "What's so funny?" he said again, smiling in a 'what's going on' sort of oblivious way. His tail, the cause of all the commotion, swayed behind him. Kimster: Zerington was ambling along, his mood reflective. His long legs carried his tall form easily through the area. His burgundy coat was shining with good health and his thick neongreen tail swished behind him. The blackblood male had picked up the scent of one of the few wolves he deemed worthy enough to be his friend: Kiba. He'd been following it for some time, not really wishing to seek her out, but still following it, maybe peek at what she was doing, maybe saying hello and moving on. Though a very aloof kind of personality - and a hell of a snob - Zerington liked company. He couldn't go long without greeting a fellow wolf or two. Suddenly, up ahead, he heard voices. One was Kiba's and the other's was a male. A male! An as yet unfamiliar feeling rose in the handsome male's heart. Kiba sounded friendly, and her silvery laugh rang on the air at some quip of the male's, probably. Of course, Kiba was a much more social wolf and she seemed to find it easy to make friends, but how dare she make friends with a male! Was he even worthy of her friendship? Zerington stepped a bit closer, skirting the bushes around the two, keeping perfectly silent and - being downwind - undetectable. He watched Kiba speaking to a black male, the only colour on him a splotch on his chest and two stripes on his tail which made him look like a raccoon. And the male wasn't a blackblood, that much was obvious. Zerington laid his ears back onto his skull in disdain. What was Kiba doing chatting to a lowlife mixed breed? But then, his eyes spotted something in the grass near the two - another male, trying to hide himself in the long grass and absolutely intent on their conversation. Purple eyes narrowed - now that wolf looked up to no good. Kiba had shot a quick glance over at the hidden black male, but continued to ignore him. Zerington lowered himself down into a crouch, his purple gaze fixed intently on the hidden wolf, ready to spring into action and protect Kiba should that wolf try anything he shouldn't. Unbeknownst to Zer, the wind was slowly changing direction... Kiba: "No, I'm not, friends don't let little things like that come between them, right,So, um, you lovin' life in the mountains? Made some friends, made a home? Tell me some things." Kiba thingyed her head to the side "Well yeah I guess you could say so...I've made alot of new friends, a home no I don't think you can actually have a 'home' here," she said answering a few of his questions, she knew he was curious but she didn't know he was this curious. She then later heard rustling of some grass and she turned her head in the direction of which it came. Narrowing her golden eyes she could make out a figure of a black wolf. She of course jumped at him stopping a few feet from him. "Might I ask what you are doing," she said as she began slightly walking toward him. She didn't know if Nightswallow was behind her but she was kind and gentle when she spoke to the male, not wanting to frighten him off. And again she was unaware of the large wolf on the hill, who was her friend Zerington, and she didn't actually figure out he was there until she caught his scent on the light breeze and she turned her head and smiled at him. She couldn't tell if he was mad at her for hanging out with one of her old friends, especially since he was a male and making friends with another male might be a bad idea. She just waited to see what he would do. Self: Laying there, the young male watched the others, eyes holding a strong gaze upon them as one held back laughter, soon to be shown she was doing so as it issued from her lips, like smoke rising from a grill into the sky, bellowing around the mountains with a light touch, and his lips did a very faint curve upon them, nothing to extreme, and completely unnoticeable, as if it were still a lined figure upon his lips. Pressing a bight backwards now in the grass, he turned, snapping ears forward, towards an approaching stranger, adding to the drama unfurling around, and something within this one seemed as though he would rather not have witnessed this scene itself, although Truis would never know what all was happening, and was learning only as much as they caught. As she pounced upon him, feet landing directly in front of the beastly wolf, he left to his own feet, ready to find a new tribe to watch, having been found out, but found himself interestingly curious as to watch more could come of the approaching stranger, humorous female, and curious male, and instead sat back down, ears flickering back, as if to take in the sounds behind him, as he turned towards the other male, seeing from within his eyes, the minute the female spotted him, a hint of kindness, not uncertainty of who the form maybe, though maybe he was putting to much reliability in the fortold unfurling of looks being passed around. He had noted the curiosity, if anything, she had towards his own intentions, and doubted she was hostile towards random strangers, at least should they prove not to be hostile anyways, and even if he were he was smart enough to realize the other two, to whom she seemed to know in some form of another, would probably band with her, at most, and help her fend him off. Though, that was far from the case, and only simple curiosity, and the ways he kept himself to led him to spy into others lives, and should he join with a pack, maybe that could be a form of rank he could earn, for nothing else filled his past time than scurrying around, and honing in on others, keeping as much out of eye sight, without overly doing so to bring suspicion to where he was at, as to keep them from wondering up to him. And, he disregarded her statement for the time being, and stared up at the sky now, watching its thick form slide into view, with a bigger, but still faint, smile to ooze onto his lips. "Nothing...really if you must know. Tis not a packland I tread upon, nor a den of another's, so no concern should you hold on my behalf, really...Though if I must, I'll be out of your hair."And, like all good things uncovered, needing to be hidden, he rose from his feet, and turned, readying to leave for good, though waiting for her sole command. He had no ties to her, and the way he answered, though not in a hateful spiteful, but an uncaring way with a slight hint of the only kindness most normal beings shown random others they didn't know, held in his tone. It was low though, and from afar, none would have heard the words, and so she may have only heard them, but, afterall, weren't they meant for her only? Was she not the only one to confront him in a small conversation, to which he hated distastefully. He kept himself like a mute, watching, and almost never speaking, though for a mute they simply couldn't speak, he had full capabilities of speaking. Nightswallow: Nightswallow, being totally content with their conversation and beginning to rather enjoy listening to her talk a little about herself however vague it was. She spoke of this not being a real 'home' and he couldn't agree with her more, but he said nothing. Really, he didn't have the chance to because she pounced off to uncover a little spy who appeared to have been hiding. Raising a brow, he let his blue eyes drift over the male. He saw no harm, and Kiba spoke with kindness so there wouldn't likely be any fights here. If there was any danger in this wolf, he would come to Kiba's side to help her out, but, for now, he let her handle it. The most he did was stop, turn toward her, and take a few steps her way as if to show the male that he was with her and would stay with her, for now. He made no threatening body language, and even forced a smile for the black wolf, trying to be as kind and friendly as possible. He had just suddenly realised how nice Kiba's company really was when she left his side, and he hoped they could talk a little more. Kiba paused, though, and glanced up. Following her glance, Nightswallow spotted yet another male who, quite frankly, didn't look all too happy. Being rather ignorant to the ways of love the thought that he might be a threat to other males who had their eye on Kiba never occurred to him. Swal himself had never been in love, not for real. He just watched the male, once again trying to force a smile and wondering where the heck all these other wolves had come from all of the sudden. ((OOC; my muse died right there. xD wtf.)) Kimster: Suddenly, Kiba broke off her conversation and pounced in the direction of the incongruous little spy. Zerington's eyebrows shot up - well, well, well. He hadn't thought that Kiba was the type to notice, erm, being noticed. His estimation of her rose another little notch. And it rose some more as he saw her glance in his direction, her eyes zeroeing in on his position. Only then did he realise the wind had changed and that it was now stupid to try and hide. He grimaced. Kiba was affecting his spying skills. Oh well. He stood up and ambled down towards the little group, idly watching as Kiba and the spy exchanged words. The spy was a young male and seemed reluctant to be brought into a conversation. Which was a good attribute for a spy to have. And not bad for a plain wolf to have spied so long on a blackblood. Nevertheless. Having come nearer he saw that the black male with whom Kiba had been chatting to was a dire mix, he only gave him the barest of nods, his face settled in its customary haughty smirk. The two males had no interest to him since they were not blackblood, and Zerington was the ultimate bloodline snob. He'd only given the black male a nod because he knew Kiba would want him to. Sitting his tall, burgundy form down in the grass only a pawlength or two away from the black male, he watched what Kiba would do with the spy. Were it up to him, he'd chase the little eavesdropper away for his impertinence. Kiba: Kiba, altough knowing, was surprised when Zerington walked out of the bushes and then she turned her head toward the spy "Nothing...really if you must know. Tis not a packland I tread upon, nor a den of another's, so no concern should you hold on my behalf, really...Though if I must, I'll be out of your hair." That was a strange thing to say but if he wanted to leave he could but she would give him a fair warning just in case he ran into any other wolves that might not like his company. "Well, if your leaving you might not want to spy on private conversations, easiest way not to get yourself killed," She said with her expression kindly...she knew Zerington would not like her for letting him go but she wasn't going to hurt him without a good reason. She heard Nightswallow walk up behind her and stop a few feet away and Zerington two pawlenghts away from her and the spy but his back was turned to Nightswallow. Of course she didn't understand the real truth but she figured that it was because he wasn't a blackblood. Kinda sad she thought to herself... was she the only friend he had. Kiba knew Zerington was a 'snob' of a wolf but he was a good friend too...if he decided that you were worthy enough to call a friend. Looking back and forth between Zerington and Nightswallow she was worried about what Zerington was going to do to him if Nightswallow did or said something to anger him. Right now her eyes were on the 'spying' male and deciding on weather or not to accept him as a friend or just some wolf that is up to no good.

Crystal: Paws rose, as he crossed off a ways, not completely vanishing from the point, and within ear range, seeing as they had made no great move to rid him of the land, and ghe wished no time to leave the place. Should it be so bothersome, then they could cross to a new land, afterall these were free lands, and if he was found to cross upon a 'private' conversation, chatting itself away in the distance between two, not hidden in a cave, or upon packlands, he would do as he felt it right, but would not cause any major concerns of the others, least they think it wise to hunt him down. With a small bark from his jowls, he allowed them to know he was not gone, to prove that he knew that they'd know he was still around, and waiting in the distance, not leaving this area altogether well, and staying around, as if his T.V. set was right. But, he faced towards the sky, watching it, proving to them that he was no more interested in the scene at hand than he was of having a prized tooth yanked out of his mouth, except, amybe, to stop an attack on his behalf, and for the male, without the raccoon tail, he knew not what to make of, as was the same of the raccoon dude, though to him the tail was not funny. Maybe he was weird to think so, but the uniqueness it brought to the being, like they all seemed to have, only brought a better scene, and maybe accounted for his wanting to stay, for too many 'normals' would be wondering, with equally interesting conversations to tune into, but not so equally unique looks. And, to see how it all played out on one channel, would serve perfectly well if added in a bit originality into the blend, as if a God somewhere tired of the same old looks that flourished the land in wolven forms. He smirked inward, eyes now standing upon the sky, watching as it settled in the mist of itself, twinkling sights for the world to see. Too him, he was found, and sticking around was a useless as drinking a Soda bottle with the cap still screwed on tightly, and yet the uniqueness of the others was just as alluring as a moth to a light source, so long as they didn't pursue after him. And yet, he would not join in conversation with them, having nothing better to add than to sit around, better proving he was around, with attentive ears, and to be left alone, he would do no harm, seeing as he figured if it was indeed a conversation they wouln't want anyone listening too, they would have better checked the location itself for safety in speaking terms, and moved the conversation itself, or chased the victim off. And so, he seeing no harm in his stay, and the timing as it was, he settled into the dust of the earth, and flicked his ears, listening in on anything to the chirps of brids in the sky. Nightswallow: ((OOC; Yeah. I wouldn't miss my turnnnn! xD When you're waiting on me in the future, though, you don't really have to bump. I know when I need to post, I was just busy. x3)) The male approached, and gave a nod in his direction. To Nightswallow, who had grown up in lands where all wolf species were thought of as equals, saw it as a simple greeting and thought little of it. He did not think once that his species would matter, especially since he hadn't been the one to choose it. He had no problem with his species since being a sort of 'mutt' of two different wolf breeds wasn't ever a big deal before, but he still did not choose it and, because no one can choose their heritage either, he would never hold that to someone. This is not to say, though, that he was the least bit ashamed of his breed or his family because he couldn't be happier with his brothers, sisters, and especially his mother. In reply to the wolf's nod, he nodded back, that same forced smile was on his maw. He let his eyes drift off of the male, though, and onto the other spying male who was slowly leaving. Or, not really leaving but just going further away. The conversation that they had been having wasn't a particularly private and he just couldn't see why it would have been even the least bit interesting to a complete stranger, but he shrugged it off. There wasn't anymore conversation here, anyway, since now Kiba had taken to looking from him to the other male, the one who she apparently knew, in a strange way. It was getting more obvious that she saw something between him and this male that Swal didn't even know, or expected that there was going to be something. Some hostility, maybe? He let it roll over in his mind, but didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it as it did. Instead, he just kept that smile and tried to look as completely kind as possible for this male. Kiba was his friend, or at least that's what he thought, and he planned to respect her and her friends. After all, he didn't have much else considering he had left it all behind in Onyx. He tried to relax, and lowered himself down to sit on his rump. He held the smile while doing so and let out a little sigh more from his overall bad mood than fatigue. Whatever happened and no matter how he felt he kept the levelheaded, calm look that was Nightswallow. It was how he 'rolled', if you will, and it was no different now. Kimster: (Okiday will remember in future Swal..... oh the bump-to-remain-on-first-page...i do that a LOT Xd ) Zerington watched as the spy answered Kiba - well, he spoke to her but didn't really answer her question. Without waiting to see what Kiba had to say in return, the spy sauntered off a little distance and then plonked his butt down and stared at the sky. The tall blackblood snorted, his smirk deepening: how childish. That spy just had to prove that spying was ok since this is an open terrain and anyone may be here. What a churlish and ungentlemanly thing to do. Well, if that's his attitude then so be it. He hadn't insulted Kiba nor himself nor the black wolf next to him and that's all that mattered. Let him sit there and stew. Zerington immediately wrote him off as a lost case and ignored him. Purple orbs shifted to Kiba and saw her strange look. He quirked an eyebrow at her. He knew that she was wondering whether he'd be unfriendly towards the black male and it ammused him. She knew him well. And that's when it struck the haughty male: Kiba is, at this moment, his only real friend. How odd - she wasn't even tattoo'd! Hm. Well, that changes everything. If Kiba was friendly or friends with this other black male, then it would serve Zerington to at least be civil to him. Turning his handsome head to the male, Zerington saw that he had sat down with a strange, fixed kind of smile on his face. Nervous? Good. A mutt like him had reason to be nervous around Zeri who's tall form dwarfed him. "Introductions are in order, I think," Zerington spoke, his deep, velvety voice quiet and level: "I am Zerington." As he spoke he tilted his head slightly, so the sun may light up his golden swirled tattoo under his eyes. It was a snobbish habit he had and wasn't even conscious of doing so, for he kept his body language non-threatening, though his habitual smirk was still in place. Thus far there had only been two other wolves that had managed to wipe that look off his face - one he hadn't seen in ages, and the other was Kiba. Kiba: "Introductions are in order, I think,I am Zerington."Kiba was relieved when Zerington spoke those words, though it didn't mean that he was going to be 'true blue' friends with Nightswallow but it was a start and that's what mattered most. Quickly glancing at the 'spy' she wondered why he would pay so much attention to the conversation that they were having instead of engaging in one of his own. The only theory she could come up with was because he spied on wolves more than needed and in so they never really wanted to be friends with him. She felt sorry for him but there wasn't anything she could do about it ... was there. Her maroon bangs feel over her left eye and she let her gaze fall on Nightswallow who had put a small smile on his face...just as Zerington had. She thought it was funny and didn't wish to reveal it to the two males so she kept it to herself but sadly a snicker escaped her maw but after that she remained silent. She hoped that Nightswallow and Zerington would become friends and well with Zeringtons 'snootiness' to her it seemed that it might work if he kept it under control. Then did she realize the 'unmarked' female, the one who had been with him the night she actually meet him, didn't know much about him then or now for that matter...strange. "Umm, Zerington do you remember the unmarked female, the one who was with you the night we met," she asked "Where is she now," it had been on her mind but buried deep. The day drug on and she was getting tired and although she tried she couldn't suppress a yawn. She hoped that they wouldn't make a big deal out of her being up for two days and one night straight. Now she was more determinded to stay awake, she had two friends here and she wanted to know what they had been up to since the last time they met. Me: Now he half listened to the conversation, better than nothing, better than anything, and rolled onto his belly, as he turned towards the male, who had just introduced himself, lowering his head upon two strong limbs of his own. A deep breath was taken inwards, and he kept it fixed, curious as to if this was all that would happen, in the result end, but a friendly acquaintanceship from what seemed like possible hostility. Then again, he only went by the looks others seemed to possess, and knew nothing as to the person, and background information of them. And, it seemed they'd carry on without him, nor would they try to make him leave, and yet maybe forget him in a whole, thus leaving him to his darkened surrounding that was as like a spy itself, with nothing to himself to do but listen in. He could try to join in, oh sure, make friends and gossip and laugh and joke and laugh and gossip and laugh, and all that boring stuff others did. He could even go into true news, and talk of the whereabouts of this clan, and that pride, oh and we mustn't forget the pack over there. Way over there. Making their own recoveries, and this forming group, ohh they'd never make it. And the beginnings of the great this-or-that. Well, whatever their pleasure was to engage into conversation was to be, for any, it served him better if he hid and listened. Way back when, he traveled with the pack of his family members, wonderful aunts, and careful uncles, warrior brethren and docile sisters, he did nothing known as to conversing either, not even to stop a fight between two that most might try to stop, to be kind. More or less, he pressed the little 'record' button everyone has in their mind, and watched of. Letting the chatting continue, the arguments fly, the laughter fill the air, and never once betraying his silent place to which he'd plot himself too. And these strangers? They were nothing to change anything of his habitual habits... Nightswallow: "Introductions are in order, I think," Nightswallow's eyes turned to the male, "I am Zerington."He raised a brow at the male and his smile faded away as the wolf, who he now knew was called Zerington, tilted his head up in such a way that made Swal wonder what he was so proud of. His eyes spotted the golden tattoo under the wolf's eyes, but he looked right over it. It was nothing new for him to see; plenty of stray Blackbloods had made their way into Onyx and, since Nightswallow had made it his business to know or at least meet all members, he had seen plenty of these markings. This male was certainly a strange one, but it figures. I'll probably start loosing my sanity after a while in this place, too, he thought, trying to bring that polite smile back to his mouth before he, too, introduced himself. "Nightswallow," he said, giving a nod, "nice to meet you." His voice held a halfhearted politeness with a certain weakness it didn't have only 2 days ago. Was it even that long? He couldn't remember, all of the sudden. It's best I don't, I guess."Umm, Zerington do you remember the unmarked female, the one who was with you the night we met," Kiba jumped in, "Where is she now,"His tail flopped from left to right, or vice versa, every once in a while in a casual, friendly way. Sometimes he could forget to keep it going and it would be a few minutes before he would remember again. He was silent, for a while, as he listened to Kiba talk to Zerington. He felt completely left out of the conversation now, but he didn't mind for the moment. He wasn't one to get all upset over little things like that, and Kiba probably knew this wolf better than she knew him. Their meeting, after all, had been fairly brief. Thinking back on it, though, he wished that he had let her stay in Onyx for a while. He would have left anyway, so it wouldn't have hurt anything and would have made their reunion nicer, maybe, since they might know each other better. He grinned a little at the thought, however silly it was, of going back and changing things. This lead from one thought to another, and he found himself thinking once again of his mother. It made him feel a little better to think of her, until he realised just where he was today - in a place that he hated - and she would surely be ashamed of him. His gaze fell down to the ground and he studied the small cracks in the dry dirt and watched a few stray ants make their way around. A sigh threatened, but he held it in thinking that it might be a little impolite with the current situation. He would have plenty of time to sigh later on as he made his journey in search of what he was starting to doubt he would ever find. Thinking of impolite things, he forced himself to look back up at Kiba and the other wolf, who's name he was already beginning to forget, just in time to see Kiba's yawn. He smiled, a real smile, at her. "Tired?" he asked, though it was obvious that she was. Seeing another wolf yawn never failed to make him yawn, so he did. Trying to hold it in only made it into more like a mutated half-yawn, but a yawn nevertheless. "Me too," he said, smacking his lips together and clicking his teeth once or twice like ha had a habit of doing after a yawn. Leaving home was tired work, after all. Kiba: "Tired, Me too," She could recognize Nightswallow's voice anywere and she giggled when she heard him smack his lips together, not to mention seeing his mutated yawn. "Oh I'm sorry Nightswallow, I didn't mean to make you tired," Kiba said and she knew that the spy was still hanging around listening to their conversation, she found it rude of course but she didn't send him away but she didn't know about Zerington. Knowing he was a snob the spy would probably be in much trouble if he found out that he was a timber, but she didn't know if Zerington liked timbers or not, so far he was making an attempt now with Nightswallow. She smiled at Nightswallow and got up "As much as I would like to sleep outside I don't think you two would want to," She said tiredly "I guess we better go searching for a warm cave nearby." She had heard him click his teeth together when he yawned, she didn't blame him yawns were contagious she would like to see Zerington yawn, it would give her a good laugh. But she still looked at Nightswallow with her warm smile on her maw. Kimster: Zerington's handsome brow furrowed. The Unmarked Female? Oh, yes - of course! Yet another of those with the Fury who don't know how to master it. Yet, for all that the female had been interesting, and Zerington was a curious beast - that female had made an impression on him. Not like his impression of Kiba. When he'd first met her, he'd written her off as one of those gentle wallflower types, but then they'd helped a little human girl and she'd shown that she was brave and resourcefull, and they'd kept bumping into each other. Shaking his head he spoke in his deep, velvety voice: "No, Kiba. I haven't seen her since that day at the river - the same day we'd met for the first time." was his gentle rejoinder, and though he didn't know it, his amethyst eyes softened a bit at the memory as he looked at Kiba's burgundy, white and black form. Then the male next to him opened his maw and spoke - his voice sounded tired and with a half-hearted attempt at politeness: "Nightswallow, nice to meet you." Zeri's orbs flicked towards him but though his lips tightened he didn't say anything. If that was the male's attitude then so be it. A motion caught his eye - Nightswallow's tail was flipflopping across the ground. Flip - little pause - flop - longer pause - flip flop. Nightswallow didn't seem to know that his tail was doing it, as if his tail was an entity entirely of its own. How bizarre! Zeri's attention was focused completely on that tail - flip. Ok, waiting for the flop...come one flop... THERE! A little grin suffused his chiselled features with warmth. Strange things amused the tall blackblood. The tail end of the conversation between Kiba and Nightswallow caught at his ears, and he swivelled his head back towards them just in time to see both yawning and Kiba suggesting tiredly: "I guess we better go searching for a warm cave nearby." Huh? How can they be tired already? Oh well. But before he could open his maw, he felt a tickling sensation at his cheeks, and then the overwhelming urge to yawn overpowered him. He couldn't fight against! His maw opened wide, and wider, his jawmuscles cracking and his tongue curling upwards in a big yawn - his eyes squeezed tight shut and his ears fell backwards n the effort. A high, keening sound burst from him and with that his yawn ended and his jaws snapped shut. Oh. Great. He HATED yawning! Ever since he'd been a pup he'd had that habit of keening in his yawn. He'd got it from his grandfather, that he knew. Thanks a lot, grandpa. Clearing his throat, he shot a furtive grin towards the two - yawning, what can you do? Then he stood up, his burgundy form towering above them, as he looked around for a good place to rest up. His velvet tones rumbled in his chest: "Tell you what - you may rest up in the cave and I'll sit in the entrance and guard you. You'll be refreshed when you wake up then." His tone was cool and confident that he alone would be able to protect the both of them...even though he'd rather curl up against Kiba. But nevermind - just protecting her was enough for him. Nightswallow looked like he could hold his own, for a non-blackblood, and thus Zeri wasn't worried about him. Though, since Nightswallow was Kiba's friend Zeri would automatically extend his friendly offer to him. "Even unwanted listener's-in will be driven from your restingplace." he rumbled, his lips peeling back into a warning snarl as he directed that comment to the little spy, though he didn't look into that direction. As he waited for their answer, he stole another quick look at Nightswallows tail. Flip.....flip....flop. Man that is so funny! Kiba: "No, Kiba. I haven't seen her since that day at the river - the same day we'd met for the first time." Kiba looked up at him and saw that he now had a strange new look in his eyes, she looked away blushing, she didn't know why she blushed but she did. It was childish she knew but she now had a new feeling bubbling up inside of her, she prayed that no one took notice of it, especially Zerington. He had changed and she thought it was nice that he was trying to accept Nightswallow as a friend, though the attempt may have failed. She saw him yawn and she smiled but held in the giggled that was threating to surface, his yawn was a strange one but she didn't judge him on it. "Tell you what - you may rest up in the cave and I'll sit in the entrance and guard you. You'll be refreshed when you wake up then...Even unwanted listener's-in will be driven from your restingplace." She wanted to say 'be nice' but she didn't and saw that he had a smile spread across his maw, an actuall smile! She smiled too and closed her eyes and was happy that he liked Nightswallow. Kiba wanted to thank him but words just weren't going to work so she paid him back with something else. A peck on the cheek or a kiss, lick, lovetap ect. She got up and walked toward the mountain side filled with caves. She hoped that Nightswallow wasn't offended by Kiba's thank you to Zerington. Me: Even unwanted listener's-in will be driven from your restingplace. Ears flickered. Huh? A spoken text to him, he wsa sure, and this alone drove his eyes to return to the others as a small smirk appeared on his features. What was up? Nothing but cave hunting, and nothing of interest. Nothing ever was. And yet, e3verything was. The world was his playground, and he loved watching it. and, that's all he ever did. Blackened, with splashes of colors washed over, dark in their touch save for the light grey underside of himself, the male picked himself up, and an ear flicked back. So be it, this was a long enuogh stay anyways. It was a little odd for his character, he noted as his character in his mind and not as for himself, to have stuck around anyways. Wasn't it, he questioned himself? Oh well, what had been done, had been done. "Voices don't scare, actions do." He laughed, and rushed off. Feet pounded, as he made a swift swurve to the right, and took off into the distance. Laughing as he ran, he galloped in his wolfly way across the land, feet flying over the gruond, and form swiftly moving through the place. Nothing was worth seeing, and everything was worth watching. Weird thought, eh? Oh well, he was a weird character. Nightswallow: "Tell you what - you may rest up in the cave and I'll sit in the entrance and guard you. You'll be refreshed when you wake up then...Even unwanted listener's-in will be driven from your restingplace."The offer would have been awfully nice had it not come from who it did. His blue eyes once again went from Kiba to Zerington as he once again put on the same half-hearted smile. It was a little better this time, though, since he was a tad bit impressed that this wolf had extended his offer to him as well. It was nice of him, so Swal tried to give a little effort back. All the same, it didn't feel exactly comfortable. Especially after Kiba's 'thank you'. His eyes fell to the ground and his heart filled with that feeling that said told you when you weren't welcome and you should just go crawl in a hole and die because no one wants you. This feeling was especially bad since he had actually been considering it, but was drug on with his need to find something besides Onyx. Now he wanted to find anyone besides these two. Just my luck - getting stuck here with these two lovebirds. He sighed, looking up and seeing Kiba walking towards the caves. He jumped up from his sitting place, but not to follow them. "That's real nice of you guys," he started, smiling in a sort of awkward way, "but I really should be going." Really, he had no where to be but away, and that's very vague since it was anywhere but here. He put on a thankful smile, which was pretty real since he was thankful for having seen Kiba again and for the male's nice offer though he knew it was for Kiba, really. That's okay, though. He didn't mind. It didn't matter. "Thanks," he said, "Maybe I'll see you guys around the mountains." Before he left, though, he waited for a goodbye so that he knew that they knew he was leaving. Maybe this way there could be no hard feelings and everyone could just be happy. They could go off and sleep in their cave and he could go off and wander around until he dropped down someplace. He laughed a little at himself as he thought of this. What a lonely life it is. It was truly an amusing thought considering that only a while ago he had a home and now he was alone in these mountains where the only inhabitants were rouge wolves, all of them a little knocked in the head. All of them except Kiba, that is. He shot her a smile, a real one, since she was his only friend here and he knew that the chances of them ever meeting again were slim. He hoped to be leaving this place entirely soon, after all. ((no muse plzkthx. xD))

Kimster: "Voices don't scare, actions do." and with a stupid little laugh the spy ran off. Zeri watched him with narrowed eyes, his lips curling into a sneer - if they were ever to meet again, then he'd have the action he joked about. Suddenly, he felt Kiba approaching. He whipped his head back round so quickly that his neongreen bangs fell into his eyes. Then she pecked him on the cheek. She'd kissed him! A warm, bubbly feeling suffused his body. It felt as if his blood had turned to bubbles and were fizzing through his arteries. His heart had started pounding and his amethyst orbs were wide with astonishment. He sat stock still for a moment, trying to keep his breathing under control. Whoa, now, easy does it. Maybe she didn't mean it the way he interpreted it. Maybe it was just a tiny little platonic friendly peck to say thank you for his offer. Yes. That was it. Nothing more, nothing less. Yet his mind was a bit foggy in pink clouds, and he only half heard what Nightswallow was saying. Only when the black male had stood up and said goodbye did Zeri realise his dream of being alone with Kiba was going to come true. Wait, no, what? NO - Nightswallow can't leave now he'd be alone with Kiba!! A heretofore unknown feeling crept into his heart: anxiety. He'd never been in love before, and it had been easier watching Kiba from afar and getting close to her only on the pretext of friendship. But this? After she'd kissed him? Or pecked him as a friend? Ok, Zeri was completely confused. He looked at Nightswallow - not that he really liked the male, but he was a male and a friend of Kiba and at the moment the only real safety for the poor confused and nervous burgundy blackblood. "Y-your sure? You want to go?" he'd stuttered. He'd STUTTERED! HIM - Zerington! Oh, this was just great. Just. Great. He kept his face impassive, though deep within those jewellike orbs a tiny flicker of doubt was there to be found. Yet he found himself in another quandary. Yes - he would feel a bit more comfortable with Nightswallow around, but then again, he could use this freetime with Kiba to see if she really were interested in him as a male and not just a friend. Kiba: "That's real nice of you guys...but I really should be going...Thanks....Maybe I'll see you guys around the mountains." Kiba stopped abrretly and turned around and sat by Nightswallow "No, I don't want you to leave, I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way don't worry it won't happen again, I promise on my honor," she said in a warm voice hoping that he would stay. She didn't want him out there alone, he'd probably return into the depression state of which he just got out of. She didn't know much about either wolf so she made a deal. "Hmm, well why don't we stay together as a small group or pack or whatever you want to call it, that way I'll be able to know more about my two mysterious friends," she didn't know if this would make Nightswallow stay but she had meant it, she wanted to know more about her friends and hopefully Nightswallow and Zerington could become very close friends. The wind seemed to have settled down and the sun was begining to set behind the red mountains, she had been told that the sunset, if viewed from the mountains, were absolutly breath taking. Kiba had always wanted to see what the wolves had meant by that so she asked if they wanted to go. "Hey, you guys can head for the cave, I'm going to the mountains to see the sunset, I'll be back later," she cried out as she began heading toward the mountains. She was luck that they weren't that far away, she hoped that she wouldn't run into any rouges or other type of dangers but she knew that this land had no rules. Kiba wondered if this Mountain would ever have a pack to stay and protect the land, while they lived inside the beautiful encloser. Kiba never noticed that Zerington had stuttered or that he had thought her 'thank you' peck was a real kiss, no but maybe in the future it would be...if nothing happened to either of them in that future. Though she didn't actually know, her emotions were clashing together like two tsunami's and her head was so packed with different emotions telling her this and that. She needed to be alone to try and clear her head, Nightswallow would provide the company Zerington needed and she would be back in a short while, nothing bad would happen to her...would it? Kiba was quick on her feet and managed to see the spy running away from Zerington and Nightswallow, probably afraid that Zerington was going to attack him. If she would have been in his postion, she would have been scared too. The sky was turning red, then green, mauve, purple, orange. It was as if the sky had been put into a large melting pot, it did look very pretty from where she stood. She tilted her head up and saw that the mountain didn't have very good foot holds for her to grab on to, so she just took the risk and climed the rocky mountain. She didn't know if Nightswallow or Zerington was behind her but she was a little too focused on getting to the top of the Mountain before the sun when down completely. Nightswallow: "Y-your sure? You want to go?"He froze in a half-turn position, stunned by the male's words. Did he stutter? Baby blue eyes landed on Zerington, a look of disbelief. Excuse me? It was a good disbelief, though, and as he stood there with his mouth half open something inside him felt accepted, suddenly more welcome. "We-" he started, trying to find the words to use. It was hard to find something to say 'yes I'm ditching you' in a nice way and it was especially hard now that this male didn't seem to want him to go. He didn't have to think of anything yet, though, because the next thing he knew Kiba was sitting next to him, talking. "No, I don't want you to leave, I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way don't worry it won't happen again, I promise on my honor,"He turned to her, surprised that she had gotten there so fast but even more surprised at what she said. She wants me to st- oh wait. A smile had begun to creep over his maw until he realized just what she was saying. She thought that the kiss was the reason he was leaving, and she was completely correct in thinking that, but it sounded so bad the way she said it. I don't care if she loves him. He said over and over in his head, but was it true? He didn't plan on finding out. To stay here and fight over Kiba with this male would be silly. Swal wasn't exactly in the 'fighting mood', anyway. What was worse than anything, though, was that she had promised never to do it again. Now he really felt like he was coming between the two of them. "Hmm, well why don't we stay together as a small group or pack or whatever you want to call it, that way I'll be able to know more about my two mysterious friends," A smile crossed his maw as these words reached him. 'Mysterious friends', huh? So that's what I am. What really brought on the smile, though, was the fact that she really seemed to want him to stay. Both of them seemed to want him to stay, at least a little. It had been a long time since anyone had wanted him, even when he had left Onyx no one came to stop him. No one even came to say goodbye. Not even his mother, even though she was no where to be found in the first place but he decided that he could just wallow in self pity for a second and pretend that she had been. "Um," He began, glancing at the male for a second as if to ask permission, "Sure." He nodded, smiling. Once again, his eyes went to the male, but his smile stayed. He tried to look at this male different now, more like 'the guy who is in love with my only friend' and less like 'the guy who interrupted my conversation with my only friend and then acted like a snob'. If things get crazy, I'll leave, he thought, considering that they might change their tune when they got back to the cave and they started feeling the love. Then ol' Nightswallow would be a nuisance, but until that happened he figured he could stick around and let Kiba get to know him, if she really wanted to. "Hey, you guys can head for the cave, I'm going to the mountains to see the sunset, I'll be back later,"His eyes darted back at Kiba to see her getting up and leaving. "W-" he started, but stopped. Maybe she needs to be alone? "O-okay." His mouth hung open and a feeling of loneliness dawned on him. He watched her go, and something made him miss her already. He wasn't alone, though, and when he remembered that he looked back at Zerington with a confused look. A look that said something like, 'what now?'. He was also curious as to if Zerington would go after her. Kimster: Kiba had also returned and sat near Nightswallow: "No, I don't want you to leave, I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way don't worry it won't happen again, I promise on my honor," Zeri saw that both his own stutter and Kiba's statement had caught the black wolf by surprise. Whoa, wait a minute - it won't happen again, i promise on my honour? So she thought Nightswallow was leaving because of her kiss too. So maybe that kiss was only as a platonic thank you then. "Hmm, well why don't we stay together as a small group or pack or whatever you want to call it, that way I'll be able to know more about my two mysterious friends," Ah. There it is: friends. Only friends. A rueful smile crossed his maw and his ears stood a bit lopsided. A glance from his amethyst orbs at Nightswallow's baby blues saw the same expression - echoed in his eyes and smile. A snort escaped the tall blackblood's chest. So - both of them were taken in by this fickle female! His smile widened as he saw Night look back at him, and now the smile was that of cameraderie - the two brothers in embarrassment. Seems like he'd have to get used to having Nightswallow around, if that's what Kiba wanted. And strangely enough - even if Kiba picked Night as her love interest, that would be fine by Zeri. He wouldn't understand - not in a million years - after all, here he was: Zeri, a magnificent blackblood with a long, clean lineage, and this only-a-wolf Nightswallow...Oh well. Kiba was and is his friend, and he'd accept her choice, even if she never made a choice and fell for someone else entirely. Night had sat down next to him, and Zeri saw that the guy was at least trying to look at him differently. Zeri chuckled, a deep resounding sound - their personalities were more alike than he'd thought! But well - Night had still to prove himself in some way.. Suddenly Kiba sprang up and ran off, saying something about watching the sunset on the mountains. Huh? But didn't she say she was tired? He wouldn't have thought it of her - leaving HIM, a male, to find a restingplace. He quirked an curious eyebrow after her lovely running form, but didn't feel the urge to follow her. She was a blackblood and was truly capable of taking care of herself. He saw Night looking as if he were about to follow, then changed his mind and was now watching him. Ok, now for it. Think 'friendly'. Zeri sat back on his haunches, his thick neongreen tail curled about his long limbs. "Don't worry - it may not look like it, but she can take care of herself. After all, how much trouble could she get into just for watching a sunset?" his deep voice rumbled in his chest. Then he fell silent. Uh. What now? Kiba: Kiba finally made it to the top of the mountains, with much effort, she sat on her hunches and took in all the oxygen she could take. She didn't know that it took so much effort in climbing up a mountain but she wasn't one to complain, many wolves would have been too tired to even sit and watch the sun set. I was very beautiful, the colors of the sky blended together and when it finally went down, she was dissapointed that the sun set was so short but she had to go and find Nightswallow and Zerington. She had cleared her head during the climb and still didn't reach a verdict on weither she liked Zerington or liked, liked Zerington...she'd get back to that later, right now she couldn't believe she left two BOYS to look for a cave to sleep in. Kiba groaned and began her climb down the mountain, which wasn't as hard as climbing up it. She was happy that she didn't run into any trouble while she was out here all alone but she was a blackblood and she didn't think anyone wanted to get on a blackblood's bad side, expecially when they had the 'fury.' Kiba jogged across the plain again, headed toward where she had left the two boys alone. she was scared that Zerington had disapproved of her action, she wouldn't be able to look him in the eyes ever again, well thats what if felt to her. The moon now hung where the sun had been not too long ago, it shined down on the mountains making them look like silver spears sticking out of the ground and the rest of the land looked silver like and it gave her a slight sense of relief. She had been gone a good hour and she had come to the hill she ran over going toward the mountains, it was also where she last seen Nightswallow and Zerington. Kiba gulped and started walking over the hill and kept walking until she had seen Nightswallow and Zerington sitting beside each other, well that was good. Kiba walked by the both of them "Alright, time for bed lets go you two," she called playfully as she trotted toward a cave that wasn't too far behind. Nightswallow: "Don't worry - it may not look like it, but she can take care of herself. After all, how much trouble could she get into just for watching a sunset?"Nightswallow nodded, letting out a little chuckle. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Wait, what? Did he just agree with this snobbish wolf who, only minutes ago, he wanted to be away from? Maybe he wasn't so bad, after all. And, after seeing how Zerington had been acting through the last little happenings he was beginning to think that maybe they weren't so different. Maybe. "Wait," he said, breaking the silence that he hadn't really noticed anyway in his thoughts of the possible friendship here, "did she expect us to find a cave?" His eyes had drifted away from Zerington for a moment, but returned to him now. A momentary memory failure and maybe a little disbelief contributed to this question, seeing as how leaving two males who didn't even really like each other a few minutes ago and maybe didn't now, who knows, to find a cave together. The confused look that he had with his question grew into a smile, though, and he let out another little laugh. Okayyyy. This was awkward but, at the same time, sort of nice. He felt more like an equal now, even though there still seemed to be a little missing. After all, it seemed that whether they knew it or not they were falling for the same girl. Despite that, though, Nightswallow would be happy no matter who Kiba chose. Whatever made her happy made him happy, right? Right. "Alright, time for bed lets go you two," He turned his head, more like swung his head, to see Kiba come and trot right by them and into a cave. That was fast. He watched her for a second, maybe admiring her or maybe just admiring how fast she got up to the sunset and back. Either way, he broke loose of his stare and turned to Zerington, giving him a smile. "Well," he said, but in a friendly voice. Next would have been something like 'let's go', but he said that with his expression alone before getting up and heading toward the cave Kiba had chose. This'll be fun, right? he thought, trying to look at the positive side. What could go wrong? They were just going to sleep, and he could use some of that anyway. ((Nevermind. I found time. xD)) Kimster: (Ok, looks like I can post again...and it's going to be short) Well, well, well - who'd have thunk it. Here he was sharing a nice, companionable moment with a wolf who he'd first thought of as something beneath, and now found that they did have a few things in common! And when Night's obvious confusion and hurt male pride showed by being asked to look for a cave, Zerington just had to laugh, transforming his coldly chiselled features into warm handsomeness. Then, Kiba came racing up, calling out to them: "Alright, time for bed lets go you two," Zeri watched her elegant red and white form lope towards a nearby cave, admiring her moves. With a little shake of his head he came back tot he present, and noticed that Night was doing the same. So. They had fallen for the same girl. Whatever Night's lineage might be - he had good taste. But nevermind. Zeri was still sure his decision had been the right one. That no matter which wolf Kiba ultimately chose, he'd still remain her friend. Right? Right. "Well." Night said, his face plainly showing his opinion that they should do as she says. A gleam of mischiviousness crept into Zeri's amethyst orbs, a little crooked grin playing on his maw. He nodded his acquesance and then called out teasingly to Kiba: "Yes Mom!" With that he stood up, dwarfing the black Nightswallow, and with that easy amble of his followed his love interest into the cave. Kiba: "Yes Mom!" Kiba laughed and acted like a mother "Good boy now hurry up," she called out to the two wolf boys at the back, who undoubtable began thinking of something that might happen in the nice warm cave. She was first in and went to the back where it would be warmer, she laid down and curled up in a ball warming herself up more. The cave was warm but the cold breeze entered the mouth of it and she couldn't help shaking when it hit her. The stars shown brightly outside as her body began to warm up the small mound of dirt that was now her bed. Thoughts ran over in her mind and the more they appeared the more it began to say 'you must choose, the time is almost near,' she just ignored it and tried to go to sleep. Then she watched the two wolves walking toward the cave Zerington had a smirk on his maw. She wondered why it was there but she didn't pay any mind to it, she was here with two of her best friends, but she didn't know who was much more than a friend, she was confused. Kiba laughed as she saw the males begining to understand each other, it was really great that they were bonding with each other too. She didn't want to leave one alone and hang out with the other while it would hurt the others feelings, she was happy that she could now be with both of them. (Sorry it's short) Nightswallow: "Yes Mom!" "Good boy now hurry up," Nightswallow shook his head, laughing at the two of them. Oh, now it had went from little chuckles to actual laughs? This was defiantly a step up from his down in the dumps mood that Kiba had first found him in earlier today. She had done a good job of cheering him up, and for this he was grateful. If what he felt, though, was just gratitude or something more he didn't know and tried to deny any possibility of it being anything more. He was stuck back at the kiss Kiba had given Zerington and had went ahead and logged them in his mind as soon-to-be lovers. He would admit, though, that if his assumption was true Zerington was a lucky wolf. "Yes Ma'am!" he said in reply, glancing at Zerington to stick out his tongue like a brother would. As a child, he had been more of the quiet observant type, but he still shared in with plenty of fun with his brothers and sisters and knew just how to do it. Speeding up his pace he went from a walk to more of a trot, and a rather cheery one at that. Things between him and Zerington seemed to be evening out now, which was really good, and now he gets to spend some time with Kiba. Now he had two friends, or one and a half at the least. Right? Right. He arrived at the cave and made his way in right after Kiba, looking back once or twice to make sure Zerington was close behind. He would feel really weird going in with Kiba all alone when Zeri should really be the one alone with her. Right? Right. He told himself that over and over, and as he did he slowed down, finding a place to lay down. He picked a place rather close to Kiba, but not so close as to threaten anything she might have with Zeri. His obliviousness kept him from knowing that she had not chosen either of them yet, but if he had known he would have still picked this spot. No matter what happened, it would be okay so long as Kiba was happy. Right? Right. "Oof" he said, plopping down onto the dusty, dirty cave floor. Everything seemed dustier out here, outside of Onyx, but he supposed he would get used to it. Or maybe not, if he left. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he didn't think about it now. Glancing at Zerington once again, he had to admit that the two of them had some things in common, and then he let his blue eyes move back to Kiba. Letting out a sigh of contentment, he placed his head on his paws. This was alright. Right? Right. Kimster: (Right? Right. right. *giggles*) "Good boy now hurry up," Kiba teased back, and Zeri was delighted. Though of a more serious demeanor, he did have a rogueish side to him, and when it surfaced it was hard to dampen. Night had been trotting next to him, chuckling most of the way. "Yes Ma'am!" he also quipped, and stuck out his tongue to Zeri, like a brother would. Oh really! Two eyebrows shot up in amusement. But before Zeri could strike back, Night had entered the cave ahead of him. The tall blackblood chuckled - he'd get him back somehow. Then he hit a bit of a snag. The entrance to the cave wasn't that big - he only just managed to squeeze through and tha was with his head way down, his strong back brushing the overhanging lip of the entrance. Kiba was at the far end, curled into a tight little ball. It looked as if she still felt a little cold. Her posture was so endearing that Zeri felt his heart melt at the sight. Nightswallow had positioned himself close to her. But diplomatically close, Zeri was quick to note. How kind of the guy. So what was he to do, now? More than anything he wanted to curl up next to Kiba, like they had done with that human child, once, long ago - but he didn't want to seem possesive. Though Zeri would never admit it. His newfound almostfriendship with Nightswallow was now rather important to him. Oh wait - he remembered now. He'd promised to watch over the two of them sleeping. Oh yeah. Right. Great. Not letting any of these thoughts show on his chiselled features, he walked inside the cave a few more paces, turned around slowly, trying not to kick up a lot of dust, went back to the entrance and flopped himself down. His big, burgundy form made a good barrier against the cold breeze that seemed to want to seep into the cave. His fur was thick and he didn't feel cold like most females did. In no time at all the cave was becoming more cosy. Zeri had a good view from where he lay, and he would be well aware of any intruders way before they would know of him. A feeling of contentment stole over him. Was this what it felt like to be a leader of a pack? Placing his body in the way of danger while those under his care slept? A vision of Alau and Ratree crept into his mind. He wondered where those two found themselves now, and if they would be willing to join his little band. Visions of him as leader to a little band of odd assorted wolves flitted across his mind. They would travel where they willed and with him as alpha none would dare hurt any of his charges. He saw them hunt for each other, and at night curl up in a cave, warming each other with their fur - Alau's thick pelt would warm a dozen wolves all by himself - and he, Zeri, at the cave's entrance, keeping watch...perhaps with Kiba at his back, her head draped across his shoulder. As these visions relaxed him, he murmered - without realising it - a saying his mother had always made when she'd put him and his siblings to bed: "Night night, sleep tight, don't let the dirt mites bite." Kiba: "Night night, sleep tight, don't let the dirt mites bite." Kiba opened her eye's a slight bit and looked at the entrance of the cave, Zerington didn't fit into the cave and plus he promised to watch over them while they slept. She yawned and thought of going outside to sit with Zerington was flitting in her mind but she thought better if she rested a while before she did anything. Next time she woke up it was still night and she was fully rested, beside her was Nightswallow who seemed to be deeply in sleep. Kiba got up and streched, then headed toward the entrance of the cave and sat beside Zerington, who ,she thought, to be asleep. In so she watched as the moon looked down upon them, illuminating the whole area and all the animals. She looked at him as the moon made his fur shine, he was asleep but she wondered what he was dreaming about, curse her curiosity it caused her nothing but trouble. Kiba raised her head to look at the moon but she didn't actually look at it she was lost in her thoughts as usual, she needed to stop that she told her self. Her bottom was begining to hurt so she laid down on the ground but she was still keeping lookout for any potential trouble makers. The icy cold wind blew again and she shook slightly and curled up again, sure she liked winter but her coat had not grown out completely and she was now unable to keep look out. She was now thinking of heading back to the cave and curling back up in the back where Nightswallow was now located. Nightswallow: Night watched silently as Zeri came in, but then turned around and sat a the entrance. Oh, yeah. He had totally forgot that Zerington had promised to protect them, though he wasn't sure that it was really necessary. But, then again, he had always lived safely within the borders of Onyx. A grateful smile crossed his maw, and maybe it held a certain friendly admiration - a wolf who kept his word was a good one. Night figured it must be cold and uncomfortable to sit in that place, trying to stay awake and keep watch, and that Zerington still did he made Night admire him a little. Looking back a Kiba, he layed his head down, closed his eyes, and prepared to go to sleep. Before he did, though, he heard something. "Night night, sleep tight, don't let the dirt mites bite." Opening one eye, he glanced back at Zerington. A smile crossed his maw, and he had to hold back a little chuckle. Not laughing at him, really, but just laughing at how things had changed in such a short amount of time. With that, he rolled around a little, found a comfy place, and fell asleep. He woke up again at the sound of Kiba moving around. He opened one eye just enough to see her go out and lay with Zerington. So, it was true. He grinned at the two of them, pushing the jealousy away. It was kinda awkward, but sweet, he supposed. Then he closed his eyes and rolled over to put his back to them, hoping it would make him seem more invisible, in some way, and give them some privacy. ((Muse = dead. Dx)) Kimster: The night dragged on, with the three of them cosily ensconced in the cave. Zerington kept watch, though to all intense and purposes he seemed asleep. Only a tiny slit of amethyst between his eyelids showed that he was indeed awake and watchful. Guard duty wasn't his favourite of hobbies, he found it utterly boring, but he'd been trained rigurously and had found ways to keep his mind occupied and watchfull. A slight sound at the back of the cave caught his ears. Kiba had stirred. With one large ear slightly thingyed at her, he listened to her scuffle then stand up. She came nearer and then sat down behind him. He felt her amber gaze on him, then heard her lay down again, still behind him. "I'm not asleep, you know." he murmered softly, his deep voice now sounding like wide river softly flowing. Another sound reached his ears - Night had turned over in his sleep. He wondered whether Night had come awake, and had seen Kiba, and was now trying to give them privacy? Or had he just plain and simply turned over in his sleep. Nevermind. His mind turned back to the little fantasy he'd had while they'd slept - of Kiba resting against his back. It seemed that his dream had come true...in a way. He felt her shiver, and a pang of concern stabbed through him. Was her coat really that thin? He wondered why? Opening his orbs wider he looked back at her, and murmered: "Your cold - scootch closer to my back, that'll help." Of course, he was very glad that she was cold, that gave him the perfect excuse to have her near him without depriving him of gentlemanly conduct! For a while he lay still, his eyes trained thoughtfully on her beautifull form, watching the moonlight dapple it with silver, making her more a creature of light and mystery. "You know, if it weren't for you, I'd still be wandering around alone. Because of you, I've made friends with wolves I would never have deemed fit to honour my presence with." his voice had a surprised ring to it, as if he'd only just thought about that fact. But yes - Zerington had changed a lot, and all because of her. Or more accurately - FOR her. Zeri was at least honoust with himself. He'd fallen for Kiba the day they'd rescued the little human girl. And since then, he'd come to know her better and she'd shown herself to be strong, but mostly gentle and kind. She was everything he was not. And he'd found it didn't matter anymore that she wasn't pure blackblood - her heart was brave, that was what mattered. And he'd also come to realise that any friends she made were invariably good wolves with brave hearts and honest intentions. Where he just snobbed wolves from the word go. Not that his personality would ever change. He was Zerington, nothing would change...but he did mellow. He was more prone to give people a chance, now. All thanks to Kiba. Ruthlessly he pushed his mind away. No matter his feelings for her - he'd promised himself he would not push her into anything. She had to choose him of her own free will. And if she didn't then all he asked was to stay her friend and protector..he would even babysit her future puppies. Not that that would be a chore - for all his prickly and contradictory nature, Zeri absolutely adored pups. Hmm - maybe he sould rather try and get her to see Nightswallow as a potential mate. Though the guy seemed a bit reticent, he would make a good mate and father. Specially if their pups had Night's tail... Kiba: "Your cold - scootch closer to my back, that'll help." Kiba looked up in suprise she thought he had been asleep not too long ago but that seemed to be her mistake, alwell she didn't know anything about faking or the real thing, that was a lie. She suddenly gave into the fact that she actually LOVED Zerington. Oh, boy this was going to be a difficult night without one mishap turning into another, without turning into another. "Thank you," she said as she laid her head across his shoulder, he was suprisingly warm and his strong shoulders formed the perfect pillow for her. Though she did feel bad for Nightswallow all alone in the back of the cave. Suddenly Zerington said something that broke her out of her trance. "You know, if it weren't for you, I'd still be wandering around alone. Because of you, I've made friends with wolves I would never have deemed fit to honour my presence with." She smiled and laughed "Of course, your welcome and I'm glad to seem to be making more friends now than before and not wandering alone somewhere," she said warmly "Besides what's the fun in life if you don't have anyone to share your moments with." Kiba wasn't shy around Zerington, and he had made a great change since the last time they met, he was nicer, more carefree and well...more open. Normally she knew that he would never have told her these things she was happy that she helped him, but he had helped her too, well not really but she did change. "If it weren't for you...well I guess I wouldn't have gotten stronger than I was when I met you, So I guess that I can say thank you back," she said thoughtfully. "Well, its getting late I should go back in with Nightswallow," she said as she rested her head a moment longer on his strong shoulders, listening to his breathing as he sat and listened to her. She knew that she loved him more than anything and that she wanted nothing more than to start a life with him but she wouldn't push it that far.

Nightswallow: Sleep was a difficult thing for a troubled wolf to come by, and now that he had woke from his sleep at the sound of Kiba's movement Nightswallow found that he was indeed a troubled wolf. The words exchanged between Zerington and Kiba got nicer and nicer by the second, and the whole atmosphere held a certain love which, to him, was more like an overall awkwardness than anything else. For the first time since he had gotten on okay grounds with Zeri did the thought arise once again about what would happen to him if the two of them were to become mates. His feelings for Kiba told him that he wanted more than friendship, but he refused to listen to them and would completely happy to just have her and Zerington as his two best friends, but would that really stay if the two of them were to become more? He could just see himself out alone again, in the same place as before. But, then again, shouldn't he just be happy for the two of them? Yeah, that's what he should do. A smile subconsciously spread across his maw, and he found himself thinking forward to what it would be like when he finally found a family. Whether it be a mate or just a reunion with his siblings or his mother. He loved her, but there was a certain feeling of disappointment there, on both their parts. He had never been all he was supposed to be, and she had just up and left without so much as a goodbye. His thoughts didn't wander much here and instead stayed in the more positive things. That's what would get him back to sleep and out of this stuffy, love-filled cave. Not that it was a bad thing, though. The thought of having a bunch of little pups running around was a nice one. He knew that Zeri would make a great mate and father. When they had first met, he would never have thought it, but now that he had had a glimpse of Zerington’s nicer side he thought different. The smile remained on his maw as he lay there now in the dirt in the back of the cave, thinking. Sleep did not come, though a feeling of contentment did. This is good, right? Right.Kimster: "Thank you." Kiba murmered, and laid her head across his shoulders. She fitted so perfectly against him, and here again was another part of his dream coming true! "Of course, your welcome and I'm glad to seem to be making more friends now than before and not wandering alone somewhere," she said warmly "Besides what's the fun in life if you don't have anyone to share your moments with." He chuckled warmly - he'd never thought of it that way. When he was young all he wanted was to be rid of his family..well, come to think of it, he still didn't want any connection with them. "If it weren't for you...well I guess I wouldn't have gotten stronger than I was when I met you, So I guess that I can say thank you back," Zeri raised his eyebrows in surprise - he hadn't realised that. Then he frowned earnesly at her and answered: "Oh, I don't think so. You've always had that strength in you." "Well, its getting late I should go back in with Nightswallow," she said, but she continued to let her head rest on his shoulder. To be honest, he didn't want her to go back to Night, not out of jealousy, Night was the one male he would never be jealous of, but for sheer selfishness. He wanted to keep on feeling her there next to him, to feel her chest moving in the rhythm of her breathing. He was coming to love this tri-coloured female more by the minute. A slight sound from Nightswallow caused Zeri to swivel a green tinted ear at him. The last thing the tall blackblood wanted to do was cause Night any discomfort, or make him feel unwelcome and unwanted. It still caused Zeri some amusement at how quickly he'd come to like the wolf-cross. "Yeah, maybe you should," he murmered gently, his amethyst warm as he gazed at her affectionately, watching the way the moonlight made her amber eyes almost silver. "Or..." he continued, now slightly hesitant - to think that the great Zerington could be reduced to hesitation by a female! - "You could sit by me for a few more minutes?" he asked. Without realising what he was doing, Zeri leaned his head over and nuzzled Kiba. His mind was, in actual fact, far into the future with those tantilisaing images of them forming their own pack of lost souls. Kiba: She heard him chuckle and she smiled warmly but then he said something that made her head turn a loop, "Oh, I don't think so. You've always had that strength in you." Her maroon tipped ears perked up in shock, was this the wolf she had meet that night by the lake while he spoke,or argued, with another unmarked female. When she had met him he had been more rude, she thought back and realized that he was much more meaner than he was now, he had actually told her to sut-up while she was talking to the female, wow talk about a change. Now he was falling head over heels for her just as she was for him, she looked at Nightswallow and back at Zerington but she didn't want to go in she wanted to stay here with Zerington then "Yeah, maybe you should...Or...You could sit by me for a few more minutes?" She smiled and nodded...she slowly began to close her eye's then she felt Zerington nuzzle her! That was very suprising to her. She loved him and in so she licked his shoulders and laid her head back down on him. The moon hung above them and shone more brightly as if celibrating thier love for each other and she inhaled his sent ."No, I'll stay here a little longer," she said as she pushed her head underneath his and laid it on his paws. Nightswallow: Kiba was all ready to come back to lay down with Nightswallow, which came as a bit of a relief to him because even though he was happy for his two friends it would have really been better for them to get all lovey sometime when he wasn't around. Zeri stopped her, though, and it came as no surprise to the black wolf. "You could sit by me for a few more minutes?"Kiba agreed, and Night rolled around just enough to glance at them as they lay together in the entrance of the cave. Once again a smile grew on his maw before he turned over. He made a move, slowly and quietly, to scoot a little further into the cave in search of some sleep. They didn't know he was awake, or at least he hoped they didn't, but he still felt like going to sleep would give them a little more privacy and so he tried to get to sleep. A sigh and some happy thoughts, some of which included his new friends as a couple and their pups as he saw them, brought peace over him and he soon drifted into a calm slumber. ((short. )x )) Kimster: (meh - 'nother shorty coming up:) In return to his gesture, Kiba licked his shoulder fur gently, making Zerington feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Then, with a cute smile, she acuisced: ."No, I'll stay here a little longer," And she promptly pushed her head in under his neck, putting her delicate face on his paws. The tall blackblood was touched beyond words at such a trustfull sign from her, and the very fact that she was willing to stay a few more minutes with him, and giving him all these little groomings, was almost more than his heart could take. He wasn't even aware of Night's movements behind him, his full attention was on the red, white and black tinted female lying there on his paws. All those arguments he'd made in his head, all the logic reasoning, were thrown out the door. He felt that if he didn't speak what was on his heart now, the moment would be lost. It didn't matter if she rebuffed him - but he had to speak. Then why wasn't he speaking? His tongue felt as if it had been glued to the roof of his maw, his heart was pounding. He was nervous! Him! Cool and collected true blackblood Zerington! Slowly, ever so slowly he lowered his massive head to let his maw rest by her ear, taking care not to squish her. "Kiba..." he whispered, his voice as soft as velvet, "I love you. I've fallen in love with you the day you helped me with the human girlchild. I value your friendship, honour and courage. You are the most beautifull wolf I've ever seen, and you make me want to better myself. Even if..." here he had to swallow, "even if you don't feel the same, I will always love you and protect you, and I hope that I may then have the honour being a friend of your future mate and protect and care for your pups." Kiba: "Kiba...I love you. I've fallen in love with you the day you helped me with the human girlchild. I value your friendship, honour and courage. You are the most beautifull wolf I've ever seen, and you make me want to better myself. Even if...even if you don't feel the same, I will always love you and protect you, and I hope that I may then have the honour being a friend of your future mate and protect and care for your pups." To say she was quite suprised but she just nuzzled his chest as she did before, she was showing affection to the large, and nervous blackblood, "I of course feel the same, though I didn't quite know what to say to you...I guess you could say that for once I was scared," she looked up at him and smiled, her golden eyes seemed now to have a glow to them, she felt like a ton of chains suddenly snapped off and fell to the ground. "Except...I don't wish for Nightswallow to be the father of my pups...I want you to be thier father Zerington," she said as she nuzzled his neck and touched her nose to his. There was nothing in the world she could have wanted more, than for Zerington to be her mate and the father of her pups. (Crud, sorry its short but my muse is going,going,going....GONE) Kimster: (yup - fine by me... WE'RE FAMOUS GUYS! MWAYAYAYAA) Kiba nuzzled his chest fur gently. Zeri wondered if she could feel his heart beating - to him it felt as if the organ might just explode from his ribcage and go pounding off into the distance. "I of course feel the same, though I didn't quite know what to say to you...I guess you could say that for once I was scared," She.. what? She. Feels. The. Same. He stared down into those glowing golden eyes, framed by the red of her fur and white of her muzzle. Those orbs encompassed his whole world, he felt as if he could fly, as if he could take on a grizzly single handedly and be assured of victory. In a bit of a daze he felt her nuzzling his neck, and then her cold nose rested delicately against his. "Except...I don't wish for Nightswallow to be the father of my pups...I want you to be thier father Zerington," she murmered. A huge, big, goofy grin suffused Zeri's chiselled features, his amethyst eyes alight with love and joy at her words. He's someday going to be the daddy of her pups! How cool is that! A shy (yes, imagaine that) chuckle broke from his lips as he nuzzled her cheek, never taking his eyes of her beauty: "Be my mate, and we'll have the smartest, most beautifull pups in the world, my love." Kiba: "Be my mate, and we'll have the smartest, most beautifull pups in the world, my love." She smiled, she had never seen Zerington so happy before and she gladly shook her head yes "Of course, but I don't think we should be mates now, not when Nightswallow is with us, he might leave," she said thoughtfully but licked his check to show him that she wanted and felt the same. "I'll gladly become your mate, Zerington," her eye's were full of happiness and glee. She nuzzled the male that was to become the father of her pups. The moon was now shining brightly and she knew that she was distracting his gaurding duties she slowly she got up "I think it's time for me to head back in, good night love," she said as she entered the cave going to the back where it was warmest. (YEYNESS, NOW WHERE'S MY TRALIOR, SORRY IT'S SHORT BUT MY HEAD HURTS BAD!!) Nightswallow: ((I'm gonna go ahead and post now. Short but oh well. 83)) Sleep was a nice thing, especially when it prevented him from listening in on the lovey conversation going on not far from where he lay. Nightswallow was a mature, levelheaded wolf but when it came to lovey-dovey stuff he still hadn't matured all that much. When he was growing up, he was too preoccupied with the expectations that his family, his mother, had laid before him to have any kind of relationship with a female that was even anything close to being more than friends. When he wasn't doing that, he was keeping his eye on the males who threatened to take his sisters who had blossomed into beautiful girls, the perfect mate for any male and this meant that no male was worthy. Then, lastly, when he wasn't doing any of the two things prior he spent his time doing what he loved to do - nothing. He was the gentleman who had never experienced love, and maybe feared it a little. Look what it did to Zerington, after all. Night slept peacefully, but it was not a deep sleep. And, in his sleep, the words spoken drifted into his dreams and affected the happenings of the abnormal realm. Once in a while, he would move around uncomfortably, mummering some random words. "...good night love," The words originally spoken by Kiba wiggled their way into his mind, and he gave a reply. "Good night" he said in his sleep, trailing off into more of a little hum and then into silence at the end. A smile crossed his maw.

Kiba: "Sleep sweet, dearheart."As all wolves do, her heart skipped a beat but it skipped it with affection for the large blackblood who changed his whole outlook on things...just for her. The stars were out and the moon was shining as bright as the sun, Nightswallow was located in the back of the cave sound asleep, her golden eye's wandered back to the large male outside, who would one day be her mate and the father of her pups. Yes she was a little frightened, if things really did go the way they looked like they were going, Zerington would be the father of her first litter. She walked to the back of the cave and curled up in a small ball, as she did before, she wondered what she would dream of if she drifted of into a calm slumber. When the pups would come she hoped that Nightswallow would stay and become the uncle of the litter, not to menchion the babysitter of them, then her mind wandered off to what the pups would look like and who they would most represent in their personalities. Kiba soon felt her eyelids closing and her mouth opened to let a yawn escape, quite soon she went to sleep, her stomache moving in rythm with her even breathing. In her mind she dreamt of her and Zerington along with their pups and Nightswallow, they were all happy and Zerington and her loved each other very much, but she knew one day the pups would grow and move away as nature intended but she would be heartbroken when the time came. But right now Zerington was her world and Nightswallow just seemed to add to it. Then her dreams turned into viberant visions of the small family, who loved and looked after each other, that would be her future and she couldn't wait for it to start. Kimster: Zerington watched as his newfound love went to the back of the cave towards the sleeping Nightswallow. She circled a few times and then leaned up against the other male, for added warmth. Strange how he wasn't even jealous about it...probably, Night would be the only male he would ever trust around Kiba. He turned his large, handsome head back outwards, resuming his watch, but inside he was full of excitement, and a goofy smile kept playing around his lips. Kiba had chosen him! Kiba had chosen him! He wanted to howl at the moon, he wanted to leap out of the cave and go bouncing around the clearing, declaring his love to the world! But he kept watch. His mind drifted over the possible futures. He hoped Night would take his loss in good part, and though Zeri would wish to, he wouldn't rub Night's face in it. After all, Zeri would be honoured if Night would one be an uncle to his pups...maybe on of his pups might copy that tailflopping thing that Night did..that would be cool! But well - all that was in the future. For now, he was guardian of their little imprompto pack. Their was one little problem though...he was still intent on becoming part of the blackblood pack. He knew that Kiba had also tried her luck but that the borders had been closed. Would she join him, when the borders were open again? Would they let them in if she were by then pregnant or if the pups had already been born? And what of Nightswallow? Zeri couldn't in all conscience leave him here alone - would he joing them? A little sigh before these thoughts were pushed away. No use worrying about something like that now. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Nightswallow: Nightswallow could feel Kiba as she returned to the cave and made her little sleeping place not far from him, and it was nice. Even in his sleep he smiled at her returning. Whether it was because she was warm, or because that meant all the love was over until morning he wouldn't know. Or maybe it was for another reason, something that would soon bring sorrow to his heart. That wasn't in his mind now, though, even as he came out of sleep enough to open an eye to glance over the female he might have had feelings for, and might still have feelings for. What he thought of now was not his love status, and not the fact that the first female he might have ever cared for in that way was taken, but that Zerington trusted him enough to let her come in and sleep this close to him without a word. It made him feel good to be trusted, and so he took this moment to tell himself that he would never do anything to make him untrustworthy to them, especially if it involved Kiba. Sure, his pride was gone, but he could still be a good friend, couldn't he? It was now that the thoughts of the possible future struck him again like a bullet - puppies. Zerington had won the battle, but was that really a bad thing? Every wolf needed his fair share of heartbreak to shape him, didn't he? Night seemed to faintly remember someone telling him that, but who was it? Probably mom, he thought to himself, a pang of hurt growing deep in his stomach. He missed her a lot. But he pushed that away, as well as any thoughts of the future, and drifted silently back to sleep after having one last little glance at his new friend, Zerington, with an expression of thanks. Then he slept, waiting for morning. Kiba: Kiba slept until the break of morning and even then she still slept a little later into the day but she woke up all the same and stretched out in the sun, her fur shined and warmed her as she began her day. She didn't know if the two males were asleep or awake but now things were getting interesting but she didn't wish for any of her friends or one future mate to leave, she would love to have nightswallow stay as the sitter of her pups, which probably would come after the winter. Surely Zerington would know this, after all the pups would not survive in the cold of the winter, they would be too cold, food would be scarce. Then the thoughts of the future came into her mind, What would she do once the pups were grown and what would she do? Then the sun was shortly shadowed then uncovered again she looked up and seen a buzzard flying overhead and she wondered what it would be doing all the way out here. She jumped down from the cave and decided that she would eat now, and then go back to the two males to decide what they were going to do today. Then the sun was covered up again and just as quickly uncovered, she looked up again and saw a large group of buzzards flying overhead, she quickly went back to the cave after eating and watched the sky as buzzards were populating it, covering the sun and crying into the air. (Sorry, I've been at my G-Parents house for the weekend) Kimster: (Haha - i'm back!) Zeri saw Night lift his head as Kiba went to sleep next to him, an expression of thanks on his dark features. Good - so his newfound trust in the other male was well founded! Suddenly the wind of a wolf's passage past him woke Zerington up with a snort. What? He'd fallen asleep!!! How absolutely pathetic! How demeaning! He'd just broke one of the cardinal rules and... Kiba was gone. KIBA WAS GONE! The big male surged to his feet, too fast: with a loud crack he knocked his head on the upper ledge of the small cave, fetching himself a nasty bruise. "nuts!" he exclaimed, swiftly rubbing the painfull spot with one burgundy paw. Now this was a great way for waking up. Really. It couldn't be improved. With amethyst eyes still watering from the sting, he scanned the surrounding area, his nose whiffling from side to side as he followed his beloved's scent. He didn't wish to leave the cave - Kiba might have had a sound reason to leave and he wasn't the sort to crowd another wolf's style. Anyway, he didn't scent anything else in the area. With a frown he watched the buzzards circling some distance off. A. Realisation came to him. Kiba had probably went off the scavenge whatever the buzzards were having for breakfast. An eyebrow quirked. He would never stoop to scavenging! We blackbloods were excellent hunters...but then, Kiba defied almost every rule, and that was just one of the facets that fascinated him. Taking a few steps out of the little cave, he took up station, keeping his eyes and neongreen ears trained in the direction Kiba had taken, still not very reassured. It was with a sigh of relief that he watched her running back to their little home. Not that he was worried, she was well able to take care of herself, but well...the thing was.. you see.. she was his now! His responsibility, his heart, his life - if anything were to happen to her.. With a soft nudge to her shoulder, he inhaled her unique scent. A small smile graced his stern features as he murmered: "Ate well?" Nightswallow: ((xD Ha ha, doodie. That amuses me so.) The sounds of morning came as they always did, though as they reached his ears and clicked into his mind, only half awake, they were more sickening to him than they had ever been. The crisp morning air burned his nose and the sounds of the few surviving birds in the late Autumn, early winter months stabbed at his mind. Nothing was as nice as it was in Onyx, and defiantly not when he was dreading the happenings of the day before him. Would he have to leave now? And, if he didn't have to go, would he go anyway? Refusing to drag himself up from his warm bed despite the absence of Kiba's scent, he rolled over once more and prepared to doze into sleep once again. Wait, what? Kiba was gone? He was about to jump up and wake his new friend and Kiba's new mate when he heard Zerington's moving and a yell. "nuts!" What the?! Jumping up, this time both worried about Zerington and Kiba, he looked to see his friend rubbing his head. Oh. Okay. Silence and then Zeri went and left. Raising a brow, he watched the Blackblood go out and meet Kiba. A little grin crossed his maw, content with knowing that they both were okay. At the same time, he realised that he had gotten up after all. Oh well, that was probably best. So, taking a few steps forward, he sat down on his rump with a sigh. Here we go. All in all, he was glad to have made these two friends. But, now that they were mates the fate of their new friendship was on the line and he knew well that love came before, well, friendly love. Or at least shared love. What was he even thinking? Thoughts jumbled up in his head, and as he tried to push them out he gave a little smile at the two and a flick of his tail. He would wait to be noticed before saying anything. Let them have their intimate moment, they deserved it. Kiba: (Yey, snuggles Zeri X3) "DOODIE!" Kiba looked up to see her new mate and future father, hit his head on the cave, she had to laugh and she did. She hadn't been gone but for a few seconds and he was now over reacting to it, even nightswallow was over reacting to her missing presence! She sighed and walked back up to the cave and then Zerington came and nuzzled her shoulder, she could feel him inhaling her scent , "Ate well?" She smiled ,"Yes and you feel asleep, did you get a good few hours in," she asked. She wasn't disappointed in him and knew that staying up all night was almost impossible and she wanted him to get a good night sleep in before he did anything. Then she saw Nightswallow sitting behind Zerington, as always he had a smile on his face, she was glad for that, he was improving sooo much but now it was a new day and held new adventures, what would this one be she wondered. "Looks like I'm going to have to tell you guys where I'm going so that you won't over react when I'm gone," she teased, letting them know that she had heard and seen everything, and she had killed a rabbit not too long ago and something had made a kill last night because the buzzards were eating a deer carcass and it was a bull too. She didn't want to hang around this place if whatever did that was still nearby, though there were two blackbloods and one mix breed, whoever killed the deer could have a whole pack of wolves by his side, that was a scary thought. "So what do we do today," she asked the two males who were now close friends, and she couldn't help but notice something different about the way Zerington was acting today...she gave up trying to figure out what it was and went back to the matter at hand, they needed something to do and if they couldn't think of anything then by golly she was going to find something they could do. Kiba's golden eye's rested on Night for a good while but they went back to Zerington...then something came to her that she didn't want to break to Zerington...not yet at least. Zerington was a father now...she was pregnant but it didn't show and she was glad for that, she didn't want him freaking out about it and she would keep it to herself until she thought that he was well enough to handle it. She smiled warmly at him, trying not to show it, she got up and nuzzled his chest, she hoped that he wasn't suspicious of her as she walked off to Nightswallow and laid down beside him, the day was crisp with the coming winter and the cold wind still penitrated her, she hoped that by tomarrow night her coat would have grown in by then. She risked another glance at Zerington and then let her eye's go toward her stomache, this she hoped he didn't see, that would have immediatly alerted him, so she quickly looked up at Nightswallow and smiled, "Well the days young, what do you want to do?"
